WHAT IS SMP?
Scalp Micropigmentation (S.M.P.) is an innovative, new technique for camouflaging hair loss in men and women. Using a specialized S.M.P. Pen, the technician implants pigment into the client's scalp in the form of tiny dots that mimic the appearance of closely-shaven hair follicles.
The result is a very natural, youthful appearance that restores your hairline and leaves you feeling confident.
S.M.P. is non-surgical. Some clients think this is a hair transplant, but no hair is moved in the process.
I had a great experience & highly recommend Ohio SMP studio. The studio is very clean & professional & Clayton is very dedicated to making the customer happy. SMP changed what I see when I look in the mirror. Thanks Clayton!
I can’t thank Clayton enough for the amazing transformation in my appearance! My confidence has increased greatly. He has a professional demeanor and is totally committed to making sure his clients are completely satisfied. I highly recommend Clayton at Ohio SMP Studio to those with hair loss issues. Thanks again Clayton!
I thoroughly did my research on SMP procedures and SMP artists, and eventually chose to go to Clayton for my work (which was the right choice). He was great at explaining the procedure and is a true artist. I am extremely pleased with my results. My only regret is not coming to him sooner

IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION PERMANENT?
Yes, this non-surgical treatment is a cosmetic tattoo where pigment is implanted into the skin.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DOES IT TAKE?
It will take 3-4 sessions to get the desired result.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION TAKE?
A session will take 2-4 hours on average depending on the amount of hair loss.
HOW MANY DAYS BETWEEN SESSIONS?
Sessions are booked 10-14 days apart so the scalp can heal between sessions.
WILL IT FADE?
SMP will slightly fade over time, a touch up session will be needed every 5-7 years.
WILL SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION TURN BLUE OVER TIME?
No, an organic pigment is used which contains no metal. The metal in some tattoo inks is what causes the blue tint.

Yes, we use a lighter shade of pigment that will match perfectly.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE IF MY HAIR TURNS GRAY YEARS FROM NOW?
If your hair color changes we will use a lighter shade in the next touch up session. During the years your hair color is slowly changing the pigment is also slightly fading too which might even extend the time between touch up sessions!
CAN I WEAR A HAT AFTER MY TREATMENT?
Yes, the treated area may be red like a sunburn for 24-48 hours so wearing a hat to hide the redness is fine.
DOES IT WORK ON SCARS?
Yes, the treatment works great on FUE/FUT hair transplant scars, surgery scars, and all other scarring to make the scar much less visible or undetectable.
DO YOU OFFER OTHER COSMETIC TATTOO SERVICES?
No, I specialize only in Scalp Micropigmentation. I focus only on the scalp to give my clients the best service possible.
HOW IS THE PRICE OF MY TREATMENT DETERMINED?
By the amount of hair loss or size of the scar.
